ARTICLE 1 — PURPOSE
These General Terms and Conditions of Sale (GTCS) define the rights and obligations of the parties regarding the online sale of products offered on the official website www.unionartisanat.com and on partner international marketplaces.
UNION ARTISANAT is a commercial brand operated by CUIROMA GROUP SARL, a Moroccan company specializing in the design, traditional handcrafted production, and worldwide sale of genuine leather products made in the traditional workshops of the Medina of Fez, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
International payment processing is managed by NEXALYA LTD (Company No. 16990682, Doncaster, United Kingdom), a company belonging to the same group and owned by the same owner, Mr. Othmane Ammor.
Any order placed on www.unionartisanat.com implies full, unconditional, and irrevocable acceptance of these General Terms and Conditions of Sale in force on the date of the order.
ARTICLE 2 — OUR PRODUCTS
UNION ARTISANAT exclusively sells genuine leather handcrafted products that are 100% handmade and made to order.
Each item is crafted in the traditional workshops of the Medina of Fez by skilled artisans preserving ancestral know-how passed down through generations. UNION ARTISANAT does not sell industrial, mass-produced, imported, or resale products.
Product pages include essential information such as materials, dimensions, care instructions, and illustrative photographs. Customers are encouraged to carefully review each product page before placing an order.
Only products displayed on the website at the time of purchase are available for sale. Product photographs are as accurate as possible; however, slight color variations may occur depending on screen settings and do not constitute a defect.
Important Information — Genuine Leather & Kilim Products
Some of our products combine genuine leather with kilim, including selected handbags, backpacks, travel bags, boots, and other handcrafted creations.
Kilim is not an industrial fabric. It is a traditional textile entirely handwoven by Berber artisans in the Atlas Mountains of Morocco. Every kilim is unique, and no pattern can ever be reproduced identically.
What You Will Receive
When ordering a leather and kilim product, you will receive an item matching the product photograph regarding:
- Product shape
- Overall style
- Genuine leather color
- Dominant kilim color
- Dimensions
- Material quality
- Hardware and accessories
- Craftsmanship and finishing details
What May Vary Slightly
The kilim pattern may differ from the one shown in the product photograph by up to approximately 20%.
This variation is normal and reflects the unique handmade nature of authentic kilim textiles. It does not constitute a defect, non-conformity, or manufacturing error.
By purchasing a genuine leather and kilim product, the customer acknowledges and accepts this variation.
ARTICLE 3 — PRICES
Prices displayed on the website are shown in the currency selected by the customer (EUR, USD, GBP, or any other available currency).
Prices exclude shipping fees, customs duties, import taxes, and VAT where applicable.
Important Information — Customs Duties & Import Taxes
For orders delivered outside Morocco, customs duties, import taxes, VAT, and other import charges may be applied by the destination country's authorities.
These fees are determined exclusively by the customs authorities of the destination country and remain the sole responsibility of the customer.
UNION ARTISANAT has no control over such charges and cannot predict their amount.
UNION ARTISANAT reserves the right to modify prices at any time without prior notice. The applicable price is always the one displayed at the time of order confirmation.
ARTICLE 4 — ORDERS
An order becomes final once payment has been successfully confirmed.
An order confirmation containing the purchased products, payment amount, and shipping information is automatically sent by email. Customers are advised to keep this confirmation for their records.
Manufacturing Time
Due to the handmade and made-to-order nature of our products, manufacturing generally requires between 1 and 8 business days.
During exceptional periods, including Eid al-Adha, Eid al-Fitr, artisan holidays, or periods of high demand, production time may extend up to 20 business days.
Customers will be informed as soon as possible of any significant delay.
Estimated Total Delivery Time
Customers should anticipate a total processing period that combines:
- Manufacturing time: 1 to 8 business days
- Shipping time: 2 to 7 business days after dispatch
Under normal circumstances, the estimated total delivery period is between 4 and 15 business days from order confirmation to delivery.
Order Cancellation
Orders may be cancelled free of charge within 24 hours of placement provided that production has not yet started.
After this period, cancellation may no longer be possible due to the made-to-order nature of our products.

ARTICLE 5 — RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL — EU & UK CUSTOMERS
Customers residing in the European Union or the United Kingdom benefit from a legal 14-day withdrawal period from the date of delivery in accordance with Directive 2011/83/EU and applicable UK consumer protection legislation.
Exception — Made-to-Order Products
Pursuant to Article 16(c) of Directive 2011/83/EU, the right of withdrawal does not apply to products that are clearly personalized or manufactured according to the consumer's specifications.
As all UNION ARTISANAT products are individually handcrafted upon order, the right of withdrawal may not apply in all circumstances.
However, UNION ARTISANAT remains committed to customer satisfaction and will review each request individually to determine the most appropriate solution.
How to Exercise Your Right of Withdrawal
Where applicable, customers must notify UNION ARTISANAT by email within 14 calendar days of receiving their order.
The email must clearly state the customer's intention to withdraw from the purchase.
Return shipping costs remain the responsibility of the customer unless the return results from a defect or an error attributable to UNION ARTISANAT.
ARTICLE 6 — PAYMENT METHODS
Payments are processed exclusively through NEXALYA LTD using Stripe and PayPal, two of the world's most trusted and secure payment providers.
Accepted payment methods include:
- Visa
- Mastercard
- American Express
- Apple Pay
- Google Pay
- Link by Stripe
- PayPal
- Compatible debit cards depending on the customer's country
Payment Security
CUIROMA GROUP SARL, UNION ARTISANAT, and NEXALYA LTD never have access to customers' banking information.
Payment data is entered directly on Stripe's secure servers and never passes through our systems.
All transactions are protected by SSL/TLS encryption and comply with international security standards.
Depending on the customer's country and banking requirements, certain transactions may be subject to Strong Customer Authentication (3D Secure).
Bank statements may display either NEXALYA LTD or STRIPE, which is normal and expected.
ARTICLE 7 — INTERNATIONAL EXPRESS SHIPPING
UNION ARTISANAT ships worldwide using DHL Express, FedEx International Priority, or equivalent international carriers.
Shipping costs are automatically calculated during checkout according to package weight and destination.
Average delivery time after dispatch is generally between 3 and 7 business days depending on the destination country.
A tracking number is provided once the order has been shipped.
Every parcel is carefully prepared to ensure optimal protection during transport.
UNION ARTISANAT cannot be held responsible for delays caused by customs procedures, force majeure events, or circumstances beyond its reasonable control.
Shipping Address Modification
A shipping address may only be modified before the package has been handed over to the carrier.
Once dispatched, address changes cannot be guaranteed.

ARTICLE 8 — WARRANTY, RETURNS & REFUNDS
Reporting a Problem
If a customer receives a damaged product, manufacturing defect, non-conforming item, or sizing error attributable to UNION ARTISANAT, they must contact customer support within 7 calendar days of delivery.
Customers must provide clear photographs of both the product and its packaging.
Claim Processing
Once the claim has been reviewed and approved, UNION ARTISANAT will offer either:
- A replacement product
- A full refund
Refunds or replacements will be processed within a maximum of 14 days following receipt of the returned item.
Return shipping costs are covered by UNION ARTISANAT when the issue results from a confirmed defect, non-conformity, or company error.
Exclusions
Returns and refunds are not accepted in the following cases:
- Kilim pattern variations within the 20% tolerance described in Article 2
- Normal wear and tear
- Damage caused by misuse or improper care
- Personalized or custom-made orders
UNION ARTISANAT will always seek an amicable and fair solution whenever possible.
ARTICLE 9 — PERSONAL DATA
Personal data collected is used exclusively for:
- Order processing
- Product delivery
- Customer support
- After-sales service
- Customer communication
Personal data is never sold to third parties.
Data processing complies with:
- Applicable Moroccan legislation
- GDPR (EU Regulation 2016/679)

ARTICLE 10 — INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
All content published on www.unionartisanat.com, including texts, photographs, videos, logos, designs, product descriptions, and graphic elements, is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Any reproduction, distribution, modification, or commercial use without prior written authorization from UNION ARTISANAT is strictly prohibited and may result in legal action.
ARTICLE 11 — LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
UNION ARTISANAT shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use of its products or from delays caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control.
Such circumstances include, but are not limited to:
- Natural disasters
- Strikes
- Carrier disruptions
- Customs delays
- Force majeure events
In all cases, UNION ARTISANAT's total liability shall never exceed the amount paid by the customer for the relevant order.
ARTICLE 12 — APPLICABLE LAW & JURISDICTION
These GTCS are governed by Moroccan law with respect to the activities of CUIROMA GROUP SARL.
Payment operations processed by NEXALYA LTD are governed by applicable United Kingdom law.
For consumers residing within the European Union, mandatory consumer protection provisions of their country of residence remain fully applicable and shall prevail whenever required by law.
For consumers residing in the United Kingdom, applicable UK consumer protection legislation remains fully effective.
In the event of a dispute, the parties shall first seek an amicable settlement.
Failing such agreement, jurisdiction shall be assigned to the competent courts of Fez, Morocco, without prejudice to any mandatory jurisdictional rights granted to consumers in their country of residence.
